Sometimes there are things in life that we want to do and know we will benefit from, but we just don’t feel ready. As I’m learning (especially from the fabulous Marie Forleo), we may never ‘feel’ ready to do some of these great things.
If you are a Law of Attraction fan, like me, it can be easy to say ‘Well, I’ll do it when it feels good’ yet that could mean missing out on a great experience while you wait for things to be ‘just right’ before you start.
I’m a musician, and I get nerves before I perform. Not terrible nerves, but some ‘butterfiles’ none the less. It’s just part of the adventure.
Now, I’m starting on a great new adventure. I am the delighted recipient of a scholarship to the fabulous B-School, run by the aforementioned Marie Forleo. (It’s an online school for women entrepreneurs who want to make money and change the world.) I’ll be developing my business working with animals and their owners. Here’s my winning scholarship video.
So, being all happy about getting accepted, I was surprised to notice that I had ‘pre school nerves’ this week. I wasn’t reaching out to connect with the groups and other members. I had great ‘reasons’, of course – lots of ‘things to do’. Yet, when I took a good look – I was nervous about ‘putting myself out there’. I didn’t feel ready. I wished I’d had a better social media and online presence, a swankier website etc before playing with ‘the big girls’.
Once I was aware of that, (and stopped laughing at myself for being so silly) I got tapping and then dived right in – and now I’m having a ball and meeting some wonderful people (and I’m wondering why I didn’t jump in earlier).
So, my message today is – don’t waste your opportunities or precious time. If you have a desire you want to fulfill, go for it. If you’re holding back, check out your inner talk (e.g. any silly excuses like I had) and get tapping, or get a professional EFT Practitioner like me to tap with you. Then you’ll be flying high, heading into your great adventure wondering why you hadn’t before.
